When creative insecurity creeps up to block your attempts at a new idea, remember this: you are not locked into the next thing you create.

We can feel we are committed or bound to each piece we make. However, this is simply not true. There are other pages, other experiences to be drawn from (see what I did there?), and more factors that may cause you to redraw the subject. Don’t be afraid to draw the same thing twice. It doesn’t mean you failed. It really means you are learning.

Use this mantra when you’re feeling pressured to perfection: “I am not a failure. I’m learning.”
